Mr. P. U Thomas was honoured by Hon – chief minister Sree. OOmman Chandi at medicaL college hospital, Kottayam for his inevitable contribution to the marginalized and vulnerables.

The programme became meaningful and opulent with the presence of Hon – minister Sree Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, Dr.Sam Christy Mammen, Shri.Jose .k. Mani (MP),Adv.Suresh Kurup (MLA), Dr. Remla Beevi (Principal Medica College, Kottayam), Dr.Tigi Jacob Thomas (Superintendent Medical College Kottayam),Dr.P.G.R.Pilla (Ex- Superintendent Medical College,Kottayam,Dr. S.AbdulKhadar (Founder and Coordinator of Rumatic Heart Club,Kerala and Dr. Roy Abraham Kallivayalil (General Secretary World Psychiatric Association- Janeeva).

The programme was coordinated by retired staff association of Medical College Hospital, Kottayam and during the meeting; Dr.P.G.R.Pilla, Dr. S.Abdul Khadar and Dr. Roy Abraham Kallivayalil were also honoured by the Chief guest for their valuable contribution to the society.

As related to this occasion Navajeevan trust arranged and distibuted 2000 bed sheet to the patients of medical college hospital and Institute of Child Health.
